More Reliable with 3 Averages: INKBIRD radon detector helps us understand the level of indoor radon, which is the second leading cause of lung cancer, according to the American Lung Association. We can read three measurements on the screen—long-time average (up to 1 year), last-day average (updated hourly), and last 7-day average. The radiant hazard mainly depends on long-term exposure to radon, so the WHO recommends referring to the long-term radon average.

2-Year Battery Life: This indoor radon detector is battery-operated and will continuously work for up to 2 years on 3 AAA batteries, which are included in the package. Low Battery Prompt: For easier understanding, it has a measurement indicator on the screen, which will blink when the detector is on working status. When the battery power is too low, a low battery prompt also will appear to remind us to replace the battery in time. Please note that all data will be deleted after restarting the detector.

Flexible Placement: We can place it on a flat surface with its foldable stand or hang it on the wall through the hanging hole on its back. Its large screen allows us to read the measurement values clearly from anywhere. Important Notes: a) This radon detector should not be exposed to direct sunshine or placed in an environment with humidity higher than 85%RH. b) For accurate measurement, it should be placed 50 cm from the ground and at least 150 cm from the window/door/vent, and not moved during measurement. c) The longer the measurement time, the more accurate the result. 7-day measurement accuracy is 10%; measurement accuracy over 2 months is 5%. d) Radon is unevenly distributed in the atmosphere, so different detectors do not get the same measurements, but the differences between their long-term average are relatively small. e) The measurement data will be displayed after 24 hours of operation, and the average value of 7 days will appear after the detector has worked over 7 days.
